Nutrition for Women
- Is your period a pain? Or nonexistent?
- Do you have hot flashes, weight gain, and other symptoms of menopause?
- Are you struggling to get pregnant or maintain a pregnancy?
- Are you sick, tired, achy, and uncomfortable throughout pregnancy?
- Did you just have a baby and are struggling with weight, breastfeeding, depression, sleep, or your health in general?
- Do you have melasma, fibroids, edema, endometriosis, or other signs of hormone imbalance?
All these examples above are affected by the delicate balance of thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, and other hormones. The human body is an auto-regulated system – it knows exactly how to be healthy and be in balance. Our modern diet and lifestyle do not give the body the nutrients it needs to be healthy and in balance.
I work with women on increasing metabolic rate, increasing certain nutrients in the diet, decreasing stressors (both psychological AND physiological), and hormone balance, among other concepts. I will help guide you away from degenerative, inflammatory, and inefficient foods, towards nutrient-dense, functional, digestible, pro-metabolic foods that are more suited to human physiology.
For women who are in perimenopause or menopause, symptoms are often rooted in the basic conditions of their lives. Stress. Overwork. Lack of time. Lack of joy. The body knows what it’s doing. It’s trying to get your attention! Your period is a free progress report every month as you enter the perimenopausal years. Those who experience uncomfortable or severe symptoms with their periods are often the same women who have a tumultuous menopause.
I work with both those that want to go on HRT and those that don’t want to go on HRT. But know that a misconception about menopause is that hormones “dry up.” No they don’t. They just no longer ebb and flow.
You period is a metabolic marker and vital sign of health. Work on it NOW to enter your perimenopausal or menopausal years empowered! Schedule a call HERE.
